Ukratko o Chlidren of Bodomu:
Children of Bodom, metal bend iz grada Espoo u Finskoj. Postoje mnogi nesporazumi oko određivanja žanra ovog benda, ali u osnovi njihova glazba mješavina je melodic death metala, melodic black metala, power metala i speed metala. Tekstovi njihovih pjesama uglavno su pisani engleskim jezikom i prikazuju motive smrti, rata, ubojstava na jezeru Bodom i osobnih gubitaka.

Ukratko o SlipKnoTu:
Na Noć vještica 1996. Slipknoti su samostalno objavili album «Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat». 1997. potpisali su ugovor s etiketom Roadrunner Records. U suradnji s producentom Rossom Robinsonom Slipknoti su 1999. objavili svoj debi album pod nazivom «Slipknot». Postepeno su pridobivali publiku svirajući na turnejama, između ostalih i na Ozzfest ljetnoj turneji. Na live nastupima svirali su s takvom žestinom da je Crahan dva puta razbio glavu na vlastitim instrumentima. Pjesme «Wait and Bleed» i «Spit It Out» mogle su se često čuti na radio postajama. U proljeće 2000. Slipknot su dostigli platinastu nakladu sa svojim albumom. 2001. uslijedio je album «Iowa», nakon kojeg su krenuli na turneju Ozzfest. Poslije turneje Slipknot su uzeli manju stanku jer su članovi benda radili na nekim drugim projektima sa strane. Bend je pokrenuo i vlastitu etiketu Maggot Recordings. U međuvremenu se Wilson angažirao kao DJ pod imenom DJ Starscream, a Root i Thompson su radili na solo karijerama. Bubnjar Jordison svirao je bubnjeve u bendu Rejects, a Taylor je započeo suradnju s bendom Superego. Nakon jednogodišnje stanke Slipknot objavljuje svoj ćetvrti album «Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses)».

Ukratko o Linkin Parku:
1996. godine, MC Mike Shinoda i gitarist Brad Delson diplomirali su u Srednjoj školi u Agorijii u Los Angelesu predgrađu Augora Hills, California. Nakon što su diplomirali, formirali su bend s svojim prijateljem Robom Bourdonom, pod nazivom „SuperXero“. Prije tog benda, Brad i Bourdon su bili u bendu zajedno, nekih godinu dana, bend se zvao Relative Degree. Delson je također bio član grupe The Pricks. Tri člana grupe „SuperXero“ svirali su starinske oblike njihove glazbe zajedno dok su bili na fakultetu. Delson je upisao Univerzitet u Kaliforniji. Shinoda je išao u koledž umjetnčkog dizajna u Pasadeni, Kalifornija. Dok je bio u UCLA, Delson je upoznao basista Dave Farrella. Delson i Farrell su bili cimeri i često su vježbali i svirali zajedno. Dok je Mike bio na koledžu, upoznao je Joe Hahna. Farrell i Hahn kasnije su se priključili grupi SuperXero i ime benda se promijenilo i postalo kraće Xero. Shinoda i Delson poslali su Benningtonu snimku koja je sadržavala samo instrumente u sebi i on je morao snimiti vokale za nju. Nakon toga je nazvao Shinodu i otpjevao je pjesmu preko telefona, Mike je bio impresioniran time što je čuo od Chestera i pozvao ga je da dođe na audiciju kod njih u Los Angeles. Na audiciji je bilo još nekoliko potencijalnih vokala, ali su otišli čim su čuli kako Chester pjeva.
